Dropping my wife off at the airport this morning reminded us of a story. My wife practices Yoga. The place she takes her classes has an annual retreat that they go on to practice their mystical yoga ways, eat nothing but plants and veggies, and I’m pretty sure that there’s some chanting and meditating going on.
The retreat is in the Bahamas, which for us is an easy 50 minute flight. You spend more time sitting in the airport and going through security than you do on the plane.
Last year when I dropped her off (no, I don’t go. She veggies, I meat. I also watch all those movies she won’t watch) the sky cap came up to the car and asked us where we were going. Eileen said the Bahamas. The next thing we here is “Winder, Ohio?” Eileen responds “I’m going to the Bahamas.” The Skycap acknowledges her and then says “Winder, Ohio?”
After a few seconds of processing what’s going on, I finally realize what he’s saying - Window or aisle? LOL!!! We all laughed a little. What makes this funnier is that neither of us ever hear each other as it is. We’ve even gone to the Audiologist together to have our ears checked because we thought it was a problem. He said overall we were fine. I guess we’ve just been married long enough to tune each other out… :-)
