A new addition to the neighborhood…

Just as we were getting ready to head out this afternoon, my wife saw this little fellow out on our dock. In all the time I’ve been here, I’ve never seen an iguana. Now they seem like they’re all over the place.
He’s about 3 to 4 feet long. Just as I got a really good bead on him and started to get the camera settings dialed in, he jumped into the lake. I didn’t realize that Iguana’s could swim. Apparently they do and they do it well. He didn’t pop back up until he got to the other side of the lake. That’s a good 30 yards.
Just another member of the animal community here in Davie.
